07 / NEED TO KNOW

Frequently asked questions.

Who can participate?

The campaign is intended for individuals in Singapore recycling eligible household e-waste through the official TakeBag process. Participants must provide accurate contact and collection details. Business or bulk recycling is not eligible for this campaign but you can reach out to ask@kgs.com.sg for relevant business needs.

When does the campaign run?

The campaign runs from 1 November to 31 December 2026 (Singapore Time, GMT+8). TakeBags ordered after the campaign period will not be eligible for rewards. All eligible e-waste must be returned within the stipulated campaign deadline to qualify.

Rewards are available on a first-come, first-served basis, while stocks last. Should the allocated rewards be fully redeemed before the campaign’s scheduled end date, KGS reserves the right to end the campaign early. Any such announcement will be communicated through our official Instagram account, @kgs.singapore.

How much e-waste is required?

A qualifying return must contain at least 2.00 kg of accepted e-waste, excluding the TakeBag, packaging and any non-eligible materials. KGS’s recorded net weight after receipt and inspection determines eligibility. Participants should allow a margin above 2 kg to account for packaging and measurement differences.

Any other wastes found inside the bag will immediately disqualify the entry.

What items can I put in my TakeBag?

Only items listed in the current accepted-items guide and permitted for the selected return channel may be deposited. Do not include general waste, liquids, leaking or swollen batteries, damaged hazardous items, food, or other prohibited materials. Remove personal information and follow any battery handling instructions in the guide.

How do I participate?

Order a TakeBag through the official TakeBag site, pack accepted household e-waste safely, and return it through an eligible Pick! Locker using the instructed booking and drop-off process. Keep your order or return confirmation until the campaign reward has been resolved.

Does placing a bag in a locker guarantee eggs?

No. A drop-off is not automatically a qualifying redemption. KGS must receive and verify the return, check eligibility and net weight, and confirm that the return complies with the published campaign terms and reward availability.

What is the reward?

A verified qualifying redemption is intended to receive a tray of Chew’s kampong eggs (6 eggs), subject to the final published redemption limit, availability and fulfilment rules. Product packaging and presentation may vary. The reward is not redeemable for cash.

How and when will I receive my eggs?

KGS will provide fulfilment instructions to eligible participants using their registered contact details.

KGS will coordinate the collection of TakeBags and delivery of Chew’s Eggs through its appointed personnel. Upon collection and verification of eligible e-waste, the eggs will be delivered to a designated Pick! Locker on the same day.

Participants must ensure that their registered contact details are accurate and up to date. Incorrect or incomplete information may result in order rejection or unsuccessful fulfilment.

Once the eggs are ready for collection, participants will receive an SMS notification from Pick! and should retrieve their reward as soon as possible. Failure to collect the eggs within the collection period stated in the SMS will result in forfeiture of the reward, with no replacement or re-delivery provided.

Do not assume that eggs will be placed in the same locker used for e-waste.

Can I redeem more than once?

Each registered email address is eligible for a maximum of five (5) successful redemptions throughout the campaign period. Each redemption requires a separate qualifying return of at least 2kg of eligible e-waste, subject to verification by KGS.

Rewards are available on a first-come, first-served basis, while stocks last. Ordering or returning a TakeBag does not guarantee a reward.

KGS reserves the right to investigate suspected misuse, including attempts to circumvent the redemption limit through multiple email addresses, and may reject fraudulent, duplicate or otherwise ineligible claims following reasonable verification.

What if my bag is underweight or contains ineligible items?

If the verified net weight is below 2.00 kg, or the return contains prohibited or ineligible items, the return may not qualify for the egg reward. Any handling, return or disposal of non-accepted items will follow the applicable TakeBag service rules and legal requirements.

What if eggs are unavailable, damaged or not collected?

What if eggs are unavailable, damaged or not collected?

All rewards are subject to availability and successful fulfilment. While KGS will take reasonable care to ensure that eligible participants receive their rewards in good condition, unforeseen circumstances such as delivery delays, damaged items or collection issues may occasionally occur.

If you encounter any issues with your reward, please contact KGS through our official customer support channels as soon as possible, providing your registered email address and relevant collection details.

KGS will review each case and, where appropriate, arrange a suitable service recovery solution, which may include a replacement, redelivery or alternative collection arrangement, subject to availability and the circumstances of the case.

Participants are responsible for collecting their rewards within the stipulated collection period. Rewards that remain uncollected after the specified deadline may be forfeited, and redelivery or replacement is not guaranteed.

For concerns relating to egg quality or food safety, KGS will coordinate with Chew’s Eggs to investigate and determine the appropriate resolution. Participants should not consume eggs that are damaged or suspected to be unsafe.

All service recovery requests will be assessed on a case-by-case basis, without affecting participants’ rights under applicable Singapore law.

What about my personal data on old devices?

KGS takes data security and privacy seriously. All data-bearing devices collected through TakeBag will undergo secure data destruction as part of our recycling process to ensure that personal and sensitive information is appropriately handled and cannot be recovered.

Participants are encouraged to back up any important files, log out of their accounts and remove SIM cards or memory cards before recycling their devices.

Once collected, devices will be processed in accordance with KGS’s established data security and recycling procedures.

How will my personal information be used?

Information submitted for TakeBag orders and campaign redemption may be used to administer collections, verify eligibility, contact participants, arrange reward fulfilment and handle enquiries, subject to the published privacy notice. Any disclosure between KGS, Chew’s Eggs and fulfilment providers should be limited to what is necessary and disclosed in that notice.

Who should I contact about a return or egg reward?

For any enquiries regarding TakeBag collection, campaign eligibility, e-waste weight verification, reward redemption or other campaign-related matters, participants may, if necessary, contact KGS via email at ask@kgs.com.sg or through our official Instagram account @kgs.singapore.

KGS will review all enquiries and provide assistance or coordinate with the relevant parties, including Chew’s Eggs where applicable, to ensure that concerns are appropriately addressed.

Are there other conditions?

Yes. Participation is subject to the full campaign terms, accepted-items and safe-packing rules, published redemption limits, privacy notice and applicable rules.
