Why TakeBag?

Electronic waste is one of the fastest-growing waste streams in Singapore, yet many households are unsure how to recycle their old electronics responsibly. TakeBag makes e-waste recycling simple and convenient.

Residents can collect unwanted devices such as phones, cables, chargers, and small electronics at home and easily drop them off for proper recycling.

The initiative is supported by KGS, ensuring all collected electronics are handled responsibly with proper recycling and secure processing where needed.

Our Impact

Since launching the TakeBag initiative, we have worked with communities across Singapore to make responsible e-waste recycling easier and more accessible for households.

4,800 kg of E-Waste Collected in 2025

In 2025 alone, TakeBag collected 4,800 kilograms of unwanted electronics from homes across Singapore. These devices include old phones, cables, laptops, chargers, and other small electronics that would otherwise risk ending up in landfills.

Every device collected is processed responsibly through KGS, ensuring that valuable materials are recovered and hazardous components are handled safely.

46,000 TakeBags Distributed

To make recycling easier for households, 46,000 TakeBags have been distributed across Singapore through community drives, online orders, and partner collaborations.

Each TakeBag allows residents to conveniently collect unwanted electronics at home before sending them for proper recycling.

Serving Communities Across Singapore

TakeBag has supported three neighbourhood distribution campaigns, bringing the initiative directly into local communities.

Beyond neighbourhood drives, TakeBag is also available islandwide through online orders, allowing residents anywhere in Singapore to participate in responsible e-waste recycling.

By combining community engagement with convenient logistics, the initiative continues to grow its reach across Singapore.
