Quick answers from our FAQ to help you order, fill, and drop off your TakeBag with confidence.

How many TakeBags can I order? +
There is a limit of 2 TakeBags per order. This helps us manage resources and ensure more residents can participate.
What e-waste can I recycle? +
TakeBag accepts a wide range of small electronic items, as long as they fit safely within Pick! Locker parcel dimensions. Please do not include items with bloated batteries.
Can I recycle laptops? +
Yes. Laptops can be placed inside TakeBag if they fit safely. Laptops received through the programme may be screened for repair, reuse, donation suitability, or recycling.
Can I recycle batteries or power banks? +
Power banks and battery-powered devices may be placed inside TakeBag if they are safe to handle. Do not place bloated, leaking, damaged, or unsafe batteries inside the bag.
How long do I have to drop off my TakeBag? +
After receiving your Pick! Locker confirmation by SMS or email, drop off your filled TakeBag within 7 days.
What happens after my TakeBag reaches KGS? +
Used TakeBags received at the KGS warehouse undergo a professional recycling process. Electronics may be screened for repair and reuse, with materials such as metal and plastic segregated for recycling.
How is data handled? +
Where necessary, KGS securely destroys data. Data destruction methods may include degaussing for hard disks and shredding or crushing for items such as SSDs, tablets, and phones.
Can businesses use TakeBag? +
TakeBag is designed for residents. For business e-waste, contact KGS directly at ask@kgs.com.sg.

Terms & Conditions – “TakeBag Rush" Campaign

1. Organiser

This campaign is organised by KGS Pte Ltd (“KGS”), Singapore.

2. Campaign Period

  • Start Date: 6 July 2026
  • End Date: 31st July 2026
  • All TakeBags must be ordered and dropped off within this period to qualify.

3. Eligibility

  • Open to all residents of Singapore aged 18 and above.
  • Employees of KGS and their immediate family members are eligible to participate but are not eligible to win prizes.
  • Participation is free and subject to the availability of TakeBags.

4. How to Participate

  1. Order a TakeBag: Visit https://takebag.kgs.com.sg to get your free TakeBag.
  2. Fill It Up: Place your unused or broken electronic items (e-waste), such as cables, phones, chargers, laptops, power banks, and other small electronics into the TakeBag.
  3. Drop It Off: Deposit your filled TakeBag at any official Pick! locker or designated KGS collection point before the campaign deadline.
  4. Point System: Each TakeBag will be checked by KGS staff. The total points will be recorded under your order number.
  5. Leaderboard Tracking: A live leaderboard will display the top entries, updated periodically.

5. Prize Mechanics

  • Grand Prize: The participant with the highest points from TakeBag Rush at the end of the campaign will win a Switch 2.
  • Milestone Giveaways: Prizes will be unlocked when the community reaches key milestones. Rewards will be announced on our official Instagram page: @kgs.singapore.
  • Winners for milestone giveaways will be randomly selected from all eligible participants up to that milestone.
  • Each participant is eligible to win one milestone prize and the grand prize, if applicable.
  • Past winners will not be eligible for the prize if they win.

6. Important Rules

  • Valid E-Waste Only: Contents must consist of electronic items (e.g., phones, laptops, batteries, chargers, cables, hard drives). Bags containing non-electronic waste will be disqualified.
  • Unlimited Bags = One Email Account:
    Multiple takebags may be submitted under the same email account ONLY. All submissions from one email account count as a single entry. Different emails used will not be counted as an entry.
  • Integrity Check: KGS reserves the right to inspect bag contents. Bags containing irrelevant, hazardous, liquid, or prohibited materials will be disqualified.
  • Final Items: All items are recorded by KGS staff using calibrated equipment. The recorded items are final.
  • Ownership Transfer: By dropping off your TakeBag, you agree that all items become the property of KGS for responsible recycling or disposal. Items will not be returned.

7. Winner Announcement

  • Winners will be announced on KGS official social media channels and contacted via the email or phone number provided during TakeBag ordering.
  • Prizes must be collected within 30 days of notification. If a prize is not claimed within this period, it may be forfeited and awarded to the next eligible participant.
  • Winner will be interviewed after the campaign for marketing purposes.

8. General Terms

  • KGS reserves the right to amend, extend, or terminate the campaign at any time without prior notice.

KGS is not responsible for:

  1. Damage or loss of TakeBags during transit.
  2. Delays in TakeBag drop-offs due to locker or courier issues
  3. Technical errors affecting leaderboard updates.
  • KGS’s decision on all matters relating to the campaign is final and binding.
  • By participating, you agree to allow KGS to use your name, photos, and TakeBag weight results for promotional purposes.

All Apple and Samsung Products will go though physical destruction.

9. Privacy & Data Protection

Personal information collected will only be used for the administration of this campaign, and for marketing purposes by KGS and its affiliated entities. Information will not be shared with unauthorised third parties.
